Yes. OpenWay is free for NDIS participants, families and support coordinators. There is no fee to search, message providers, post a request, or save a shortlist. Providers pay a subscription to list on OpenWay.
OpenWay Verified means we have sighted selected business and compliance documents from the provider. It does not replace NDIS Commission registration and is not an endorsement of service quality. Specific badges (NDIS Registered, ABN Checked, Insurance Sighted, Worker Screening, WWCC) appear on each profile based on what we have confirmed.
No. OpenWay never takes a commission on services delivered, and never charges NDIS participant plans. Plan funds flow directly between participants and providers under the participant's usual plan arrangement. The only revenue OpenWay receives is the provider subscription.
OpenWay is a discovery and connection platform - not part of the NDIS, the NDIA, or the NDIS Commission. We surface plan management compatibility, indicative pricing, real reviews and direct messaging, and we include unregistered providers (who can lawfully serve plan-managed and self-managed participants) alongside registered ones, with the distinction clearly labelled.
Yes. When you set your plan type to NDIA-managed, OpenWay filters search results to registered providers only for supports that require registration. Plan-managed and self-managed participants see both registered and unregistered providers, with the registration status clearly shown.
